The Makol Ariik Development Foundation (MADF) has embarked a great deal of it efforts to delivering Scholarships to Southern Sudanese who are interested in working on postgraduate studies. The Makol Ariik Scholarships Program is intended to help provide student’s tuitions, books, living, health, transports, etc, to deserving students of Southern Sudan who will be fairly screened and selected on competitive basis to do postgraduate studies (High Diploma, Master’s, and PhD degrees), with the intention of going back to the South and contribute in the development effort.

We have for the academic year 2008/09 allocated 30 seats for our annual scholarships to go to Southerners as beneficiaries of our scholarships. 20 seats those of whom will be offered in African higher institutions will go to institutions in countries such as South Africa, Kenya, Uganda, Botswana, Ghana, Ethiopia, etc, and 10 seats will come to the United States.

As part of his duty which has been entrusted on him by the MADF’s board, Augustino Ting Mayai (the MADF’s student Affairs officer), will fairly select our scholarships beneficiaries among qualified Southern Sudanese who will go for graduate studies in this academic session 2008/09. We offer good luck for those who will qualify
